Not at all. Most of the people I work with are functioning just fine on the outside - they're showing up, getting things done, holding it together. They're just tired of how much energy that takes. You don't have to hit a wall to start. You just have to feel like something needs to shift.

At this time, I do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I can also help you set up something called a single case agreement with certain insurance companies (including Magellan), which can allow them to cover your sessions. It's worth a conversation. Reach out and we can figure out what works for you.

Yes. At this time, all sessions are virtual. I work with clients throughout Connecticut via a secure, easy-to-use video platform. No commute, no waiting room, just you and me.

Reach out anyway. You don't have to be sure. The free 15-minute consultation isn't a commitment, it's just a conversation. A lot of people who weren't sure they were ready found that talking for 15 minutes was enough to know. And if it's not the right time, that's okay too. The door stays open.

Not at all. Gender is fluid, and what I'm really hoping to do is provide services that resonate with the people who reach out. If something here speaks to you, regardless of how you identify, I want to hear from you.
That said, much of my work is deeply rooted in the shared experience of being a woman in the world — the expectations, the roles, the particular way we learn to be hard on ourselves. That's where some of my most meaningful and impactful work has happened. So while my door is open to everyone, if you're a woman reading this, this was very much made with you in mind.

Honestly? It depends. And it's really something we figure out together. We may not know until we get started and that's okay. Length of treatment isn't something I decide for you. We check in, we talk about it, and we move at a pace that feels right. This is your process.

That's one of the most common things I hear, and it's a completely fine place to start. You don't need to arrive with a clear sense of what's wrong or what you're looking for. That's kind of what the first few sessions are for. Just show up and we'll figure it out together.

Not even a little. I'm a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, which in practice means that sometimes, mid-session, I might have an idea for how we can explore something a little differently and I'll ask if you're open to trying it. That's it. No artistic ability required, no pressure, no performance. And if it's not your thing, we don't do it. Simple as that.
