Virtual Therapy for Women, Moms & Young Adults in Connecticut 〰️
You picked up a story somewhere along the way about who you are, what you're capable of, what you deserve.
You’re not alone. And you don’t have to keep living inside it.
I'm Joyce , a virtual therapist in Connecticut who helps you understand where those parts came from, get curious about it instead of fighting it, and build a life that feels a little more like yours.
Here's what I know after years of sitting with people in their most honest moments, the anxiety, the guilt, the perfectionism, the shame, those aren't your personality. They're parts of you. Parts that developed for really good reasons, in really specific moments, trying to protect you from something real.
And once you can see them, really see them, understand where they came from, talk to them instead of being run by them, something shifts. You get a little space. A little air. A little more of yourself back.
That's what I mean when I say therapy with me isn't about fixing something broken. It's about finally getting to meet yourself. Maybe for the first time. Maybe in a way that feels like coming home to someone you forgot was there.
I've watched people experience themselves in completely new ways; not because I told them who to be, but because they finally had a space where all of it was allowed. The messy parts. The scared parts. The parts that don't make sense yet.
That space? That's what I'm here to create.
And I'm not going to do it by being your doctor or your teacher or the person with all the answers. I'm going to do it by being really, genuinely here with you. Present. Curious.
Because that's the thing I believe most, more than any framework or modality or clinical approach:
Connection is the antidote to everything.
You might be here if
You’re a college student who looks confident and is quietly terrified of getting it wrong.
Hi.
You’re a woman in your 20s, navigating a world with a lot of opinions about who you should be by now.
Hi.
You’re a mom who loves her kids more than anything and feels guilty about approximately everything.
Hi.
You’re a woman whose inner critic just never seems to clock out.
Hi.
You’re a woman who's been the strong one for so long she's not sure anyone knows she's struggling.
Hi.
You’re in the right place.
How I think about our work
The thing I've noticed, again and again, is that there's something in everyone behind the noise that's just waiting to be discovered. And it makes complete sense once you get to know it.
Maybe it's a critic. Maybe it's a people pleaser. Maybe it's an inner child still carrying something heavy from a long time ago. Maybe it's the part of you that learned early on that shrinking was safer than being seen.
Whatever it looks like for you, it didn't come from nowhere. And it's been trying to tell you something.
The work we do together is about getting curious about it instead of fighting it. Here's how I think about that:
See it — often for the first time.
Understand it — where it came from, what it learned, what it's been protecting you from.
Change your relationship to it — so it becomes something that informs you instead of runs you.
